Sales Associates must have one year experience in retail. Applicants must be able to effectively communicate with supervisors, colleagues and customers, must be able to read and do basic math and must be able to pass a drug test and lift test.
Assistant Manager/Assistant Floating Manager must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience as an Assistant Manager or 5 years as a Retail Team Member with increasing responsibilities. Must have excellent attendance, strong people handling skills, be task oriented, must know their merchandise, leadership skills, problem solving skills, excellent customer service, positive attitude, and strong computer skills, know how to motivate, guide and effectively communicate with all team members, excellent training skills, and a can-do attitude.
Janitor/ADC provide for the most consistent daily acquisition of donations at the Store Donation Center as well as represent Goodwill by assisting in a prompt, friendly manner when unloading donations and providing receipts, safeguarding donations by sorting them in proper receptacles at the store and to maintain a clean, organized donation area at the store. They will also be the caretaker of keeping the store clean at all times.
Support Manager must have a minimum of 1-2 years retail experience. Must have excellent attendance, strong people handling skills, be task oriented, must know their merchandise, leadership skills, problem solving skills, excellent customer service, positive attitude, and strong computer skills, know how to motivate, guide and effectively communicate with all team members, excellent training skills, and a can-do attitude.
Processor/Pricers must have a minimum of 1 year's retail experience knowing values of donated items - clothing, wares to sort, price and put onto the sales floor.
Lead Cashier must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience as a lead cashier or excellent cash management experience. Must have excellent attendance, problem solving skills, excellent customer service, and positive attitude. Lead cashier will supervise cashiers.

PROCESSING CENTER:

4 FT Material Handlers @ $7.55 an hour, 2 FT Soft Goods Processors @ $7.55 an hour, 1 FT Dock Supervisor $600 a week, 1 FT Purchased Goods/Pricer @ $8.00 hr, and 1 FT Linen Pricer @ $8.00 an hour:
Material Handlers will transport and process donated and purchased merchandise for preparation for sale, in order to meet preset production and sales goals. Handlers will handle day to day operations of processing, moving bales, physically loading or unloading trucks and operating compressor machines. Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug test and lift test. Dock Supervisor will provide direction and supervision to the Handlers as well as be responsible for meeting daily shipments to and from the store and ADC. Soft Goods Processors must be able to assess, sort and hang clothing to meet the daily goals of the line. The Purchased Goods/Pricer as well as the Linen Pricer is responsible for all newly purchased items or linens that are sold in our stores in pricing and shipping to the designated store.

3 FT Donation Ambassador $8.00 an hour:
To provide stewardship with donors at our donation centers while representing Goodwill with the highest standards of providing excellent customer service, and most consistent daily acquisition of donations; to safeguard donations while following and enforcing Asset Protection policy and procedures, while maintaining clean and organized donation center. Job is in an outside environment with unregulated temperatures. Applicant must pass a pre-employment lift and drug test.

CAREER CONNECTIONS:

1 FT Business Service Specialist @ $16.00 an hour:
The purpose of this position is to develop and build relationships with area businesses to determine their workforce needs and how Career Connections can address those needs. This Team Member will spend a substantial amount of time marketing the activities of Career Connections to local employers. Build a broad awareness among employers in Las Vegas and with other stakeholders critical to the area's economic development role, about the work of Career Connections; Establishes working relationships with employers and Human Services Managers within the Las Vegas area; Attend workshops and trainings to acquire a high level of familiarity of workforce systems and available resources within the Regional Workforce areas; Create presentations for business and community groups to educate them concerning the services offered to employers and job seekers (Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Special Interest Groups, etc.); Prepare reports to use in planning and system development ; Collaborate with local business, agencies or business coalitions; Makes an average of five customer contacts per week; Goes to job sites to write On the Job Training and Work Experience contracts with employers after approval of the Career Connections Coordinator; Works closely with Employment Specialists to find right fit for both job seeker and employer in reference to subsidized employment; Monitors work sites to ensure job seekers under contract is working out, assist employers where needed in mediating or coaching job seekers; Collects and maintains accuracy of participants time sheets and turns those in to the proper Financial Team Member at Goodwill; Maintains caseloads, complete and accurate case notes, records and files; Participates in departmental and agency meetings at least bi-weekly and quarterly; Meets weekly goals set for the department by the Director of Human Services; Performs other related duties as assigned; Conducts job readiness training in an individual or group setting; and Develops job leads and refers job seekers to local employers. A background check and a pre-employment drug test will be required.
1 FT Data Entry Specialist @ $13.00 an hour:
The Career Connections Data Entry Specialist provides inputting of the case files and documentation into several tracking systems that is used by the Career Connections Team in implementing job development and placement services. Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors; Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered; Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors; Maintain logs of activities and completed work; Reviews and makes necessay corrections to information entered; Compiles, sorts and verifies accuracy of data to be entered; Processes various forms; Assists in establishing and maintaining an effective team effort and accomplishes related results as required; Maintains confidential information; Performs general clerical duties such as typing, answering phones, etc.; and Perform other job related duties as assigned.
2 FT Employment Specialists @ 16.00 an hour:
The Bi-Lingual Employment Specialist provides individualized job placement assistance to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment and helps them obtain competitive employment. Career Connections is a free walk-in employment center providing job placement services to members of the public and assisting local businesses find motivated and qualified employees. Services are offered to job seekers and local employers at no charge. Applicant must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, patience, diplomacy, and high level of customer service skills required. A minimum two years of demonstrated experience in employment counseling, career counseling, job development and placement. Experience working with persons who have barriers to employment from various socio-economic, professional and ethnic backgrounds preferred. Barriers to employment may include having low income, limited language skills, limited education and felonies. Bachelors of Arts degree in a related field preferred. Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and ability/willingness to work with economically and culturally diverse clientele required, ability to work independently and in a team with ability to work well in a fast-paced environment; excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and outstanding follow-up skills required, familiarity with Las Vegas valley labor market, business community, human services, and a working knowledge of disability-related issues, excellent oral and written presentation skills, excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure, solid computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Email and Internet.
