Court Ordered Volunteer Opportunities at Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Inc.

In partnership with the North Las Vegas Municipal Court and the Las Vegas Municipal Court's Alternative Sentencing and Education Division, Goodwill provides volunteer opportunities for the defendants needing to complete community service hours mandated by these two referring courts.

Court ordered community service hours are assigned in lieu of, or in addition to, incarceration or/and a fine. Volunteer assignments for the court ordered community service workers range from performing various tasks in the processing center (i.e., sorting hard good merchandise, assembling hard good merchandise, processing back stock merchandise, sorting clothing, hanging linen, sorting hangers, hanging clothing, producing price tickets), in retail stores (i.e., sizing and colorizing clothing racks, sorting and organizing books, merchandizing clothing and hard goods) and in the corporate headquarters (i.e., photocopying, filing, preparing handouts).

Eligibility Criteria

Please note that only defendants referred to Goodwill by either the North Las Vegas Municipal Court or the Las Vegas Municipal Court's Alternative Sentencing and Education Division are currently eligible to participate in the program. If you were not referred to Goodwill by these two participating municipalities, we will not be able to assist you. We apologize for any inconvenience; please contact Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada to identify additional nonprofit agencies that may need volunteers.
